Internationally acclaimed conductor and music producer, Christian Gansch was the leader of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra from 1981 to 1990. As a conductor he has led most of the world’s largest orchestras, including the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in Paris, the English BBC Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, and the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin. When he moved to the business side of music, taking on the role of manager and consultant, he went on to produce over 190 CDs worldwide and win four Grammys among many other international awards.

Ali Mahlodji was born in Tehran in 1981. When he was two, his family fled to Austria. Ali dropped out of school at the age of 18, but finished university years later with a degree in IT. Today he can look back on a succession of more than 40 jobs – from construction worker to pharmacist’s assistant to management consultant. He is a multiple award winning co-founder of the internationally acclaimed start up WHATCHADO, an online video platform which functions as a manual for life, stories and jobs. Ali also consults executives on leadership and gives lectures at universities. His passion is to start new ventures and help people find their calling. The European Union appointed Ali Youth Ambassador for life and European Ambassador for the New Narrative.

Andreas Treichl has been Chief Executive Officer of Erste Group Bank AG since 1997. He studied Economic Science at the University of Vienna and started his banking career in 1977 at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York as a credit analyst. He then worked for Chase in various management positions in Vienna, Athens and Brussels. In 1994, he became Member of the Management Board of Erste Österreichische Spar-Casse and on 1st of July 1997 Chairman of the Board. He managed the bank after the merger with GiroCredit and took it public. Under his leadership and initiative, the bank, which had been a purely local savings bank up to then, expanded into a leading financial services provider in Central and Eastern Europe with more than 15.8 million customers. Andreas Treichl established the ERSTE Foundation, was Chairman of the Board until 2012 and is Member of the Advisory Board since 2013. He launched numerous social banking initiatives (e.g. Zweite Sparkasse, good.bee) enabling access to financial services for disadvantaged target groups.

Before that, he was the head of HSBC’s SME Business.

She has been working for the EU institutions since 1999. Since 2008, she has held various managerial positions dealing with EU policies and funding programmes relating to employment, industrial relations & social dialogue, education & training, and the cultural and creative sectors.

Elwin Groenevelt is the founder and CEO of Qredits in the Netherlands. Elwin studied business administration for the financial sector in Amsterdam. He started his financial services career as a management trainee at Credit Lyonnais Bank in the Netherlands. Upon completion, he became Senior Account Manager for Generale Bank. During the merger of Generale and Fortis, he was a staff member of the board of directors. Elwin was employed in 2000 as a Branch Manager for Fortis Bank, in the Retail Banking Division. He advanced to District Manager in 2002 and in 2004 was promoted to Regional Director of the eastern part of the Netherlands. In 2006, during his tenure with Fortis Bank, Elwin initiated the successful project Microfinance in the Netherlands at Fortis. As a result of this success, Elwin was asked to work with the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the Hague to help set up the first national microfinance program in the Netherlands. In 2009, he founded Qredits. Elwin was elected as President of the EMN Board in June 2017.

Lucija Popovska is the Chief Operating Officer of Software Group, a global technology company that is specialized in delivery channel and integration solutions for institutions that provide financial services. Lucija also works as a freelance consultant in the areas of development management and development housing finance. She used to work for Habitat for Humanity International in the ECA and AME regions; the Council of Europe; and the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation. She has extensive experience in product development and programme design, funding and financing, monitoring and evaluation. Lucija specialises in financial services downscale with focus on housing finance; organisational development and governance; and intercultural learning and context analysis.
